“The hospital where I volunteered at, taught me a lot about the practice of western medicine. Even though the hospital could not afford many of the high-cost equipment and medicines, I learned that they instead make do with creative workarounds. For example, gloves are used at tourniquets. The stay was also very hospitable. Tizia was very kind and welcoming. I would recommend this trip to anybody looking to get a brief introduction to medicine in developing countries.”

“My experience in Arusha, Tanzania has been incredible. For sure though but the environment I’ve been with has helped me though the 3 weeks of my stay. The house I’ve stayed in is welcoming and comfortable. Didn’t have any problem during my stay there. The staff has been nice and always helpful. The volunteering experience at the hospital has been something I’ll never forget. It has taught me a lot and made me grow professionally and individually. Definitely recommend!”
